Hon. Ogunbolode Johnson Meets Akure North Monarchs on Insecurity, Advocates Community Policing.

In a decisive move to address the growing security concerns in Akure North Local Government, the Chairman, Hon. Ogunbolode Johnson, convened an emergency meeting with traditional rulers across the local government area to deliberate on proactive measures aimed at safeguarding lives and property.

The high-level meeting, which had in attendance all monarchs within Akure North, focused on a comprehensive review of the prevailing security situation. The Chairman reassured the royal fathers of the government’s unwavering commitment to strengthening security architecture across all communities. He emphasized that community policing remains a strategic and sustainable solution to tackling the incessant security challenges confronting the area.

In their responses, the traditional rulers pledged their full cooperation and support for the initiative. They expressed readiness to mobilize credible indigenes who can be properly trained and recruited to serve as community police personnel. The monarchs unanimously agreed that security must be domesticated and community-driven in order to effectively curb crime and ensure lasting peace in Akure North.
