Akure North Local Government shares boundaries with Akure South, Ifedore, Owo Local Governments and also Ekiti State. Akure North Local is predominantly an agrarian economy. Akure North Local was created in 1996 during the regime of the late Gen. Sanni Abacha and the local government headquarters is Iju/Ita-ogbolu. 


It was carved out from the then Akure Local Government. In summary Akure North Local Government will be thirty years old come 2026. It's therefore my pleasure to welcome you all on board.
