Akure North Local Government Announces New Supervisory Councilors and Special Advisers
The Akure North Local Government Council is pleased to announce the appointment of new Supervisory Councilors and Special Advisers to strengthen governance, enhance service delivery, and drive community-focused development across the Local Government Area.
These appointments reflect the administration’s commitment to effective leadership, transparency, and accelerated growth within Akure North.
The newly appointed officials are as follows:
1. Hon. Jayeola Omoniyi Emmanuel – Supervisory Councilor for Health
Hon. Jayeola will oversee public health programs, primary healthcare services, community health outreach, environmental health, and medical welfare initiatives across the LGA.
2. Hon. Jenyoo Martins – Supervisory Councilor for Works
He will be responsible for infrastructural development, road maintenance, public utilities, and ensuring quality control in all engineering works within the Local Government.
3. Hon. Olowere Adeniyi – Supervisory Councilor for Agriculture
Hon. Adeniyi will coordinate agricultural policies, support for farmers, agro-development projects, and food security initiatives for sustainable rural development.
4. Hon. Ojo Gabriel – Supervisory Councilor for Education
His duties include supervising primary education, promoting quality learning environments, monitoring school performance, and advancing educational development across communities.
5. Olawale Michael – Adviser on Youth Matters
He will focus on youth empowerment, sport initiatives, leadership training, skill acquisition, and meaningful engagement of young people in governance.
6. Fajeminiyi Olusola – Adviser on Security Matters
Mr. Fajeminiyi will work closely with security agencies to strengthen community safety, promote peace, and support security strategies for the protection of lives and property.
7. Olomi Joseph Bello – Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs
He will handle matters relating to traditional institutions, maintain cordial relations with royal fathers, and ensure due process in chieftaincy administration.
The Local Government Chairman commends the appointees and urges them to serve with integrity, dedication, and the highest sense of responsibility. These appointments mark another bold step towards building a progressive, secure, and more prosperous Akure North.
